How Resources Work

The Resources API returns crisis helplines filtered by scope (what help they offer), population (who they serve), and country.

  • Risk detection automatically maps to relevant scopes (suicide β†’ suicide, mental_health, crisis)
  • Population filters enable specialized resources (LGBTQ+ lines, veteran services)
  • Contact modalities indicate how to reach each service (phone, chat, SMS, etc.)
